Objectives and Goals

As a catechist to our youngest preschoolers, our goal is to teach the children about God, life and faith through age appropriate prayers, songs, stories and activities.

 Strategies

The children are introduced to God and the Holy Family. The children will learn age appropriate prayers and about many Saints through songs, stories and art activities.  The children learn to make the Sign of the Cross and memorize the Prayer to Baby Jesus and Grace before meals.

 Assessments

Assessments are made through open discussion and participation at circle time. The children are allowed to take turns talking about God and the different Saints that they have learned about. The children will also learn about Creation through an art activity and poem. All of the children will be able to recite the Days of Creation to their families.
