Social Studies
Objectives and Goals
The goal of Social Studies in Kindergarten is to develop responsible citizens—in the community, country, and world which are covered through a variety of other topics such as famous people, historical events, geography, current events, and maps.
Strategies
Through the use of creative dramatics, celebrations, art projects, poetry, books, videos, and In-School Presentations students broaden their understanding of their place in the world.
Assessments
Students are assessed in a variety of ways through the use of projects, presentations, discussions, practice, and reinforcement.
