House Service
-
The houses meet every Friday and discuss goals for the house, and plan for different community and outreach projects. Currently there are six houses differentiated by six colors; Yellow, Red, Purple, Orange, Green and Blue. Each house embodies 8 words/phrases; Problem-Solving, Positive Attitudes, Empathy, Purpose, Choice & Accountability, Imagination, Endurance, Self-Discipline and Citizenship. Each house performs service throughout the school year. At Christmas time there is a particular need in our community. This year the Purple House and the Yellow house collected toys for "Toys for Tots", and collected money for the Purple Feet Foundation.
Yellow House
-
The Yellow House collected toys for the program Toys for Tots. The Toys for Tots program has been the mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve fsince 1947. Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Catie's Closet is an organization that provides clothing and toiletries to school aged children. By providing an in-school resource of clothing and basic necessites to student living below the poverty line, Catie's Closet removes social stigma and improves school attendance.
"Schools equipped with a Catie’s Closet give students living in poverty the ability to discreetly pick and choose the clothing and basic necessities they need, and are proud to wear. Lack of access to basic necessities is one of the top reasons for absenteeism.
By meeting students’ needs, Catie’s Closet boosts self esteem and motivates students to attend school and focus on their education." www.catiescloset.org
