• Grade 7 - Religion Fair

As a Catholic school we learn and teach the Roman Catholic faith to all students, regardless of religious affiliation. The word "catholic" means "universal," and we have many students who come from families of diverse faith practices, such as Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Muslim, Eastern Christian and various Protestant branches of Christianity. It is our common understanding that all faith is a journey to discover the Ultimate Truth to which Jesus testifies (John 18:37). Every spring our 7th graders work in pairs to create a feature presentation about people, places and/or celebrations within their religious practices, so that each student can express his/her voice in the search for God's truths, This year's theme, "Heroes of our Faith History" centers on important leaders or mentors within these various faiths, and includes special holidays or celebrations related to the individuals who have been chosen, and to the religion each represents.
