Welcome to Music

Welcome to Music K-8:

My name is Mr. Stemple and I am so excited to be on the net.

I have three children. Nealon my third child is doing well, he is five months old and
growing like a weed. Noah will be starting St. Bernadette this year. I am so excited to start our school year.

We have a great music program here at St. Bernadette which helps develop life long learners. We focus on listening skills, practice habits, movement, instrumental instruction, music literacy, and good vocal habits.

We are pleased to welcome back Ms. Wendy Clark to teach the St. Bernadette Band and our new string section. Our band and string program are for grades 4-8. Sign up will be on new Parent orientation (9/20) and Back to School Night (9/13). You can always sign up in Mr. Stemple’s room.

St. Bernadette Music :

•K-1 Music is based on Eurhythmics, movement, singing, and listening skills.

•2-3 Music continues development and adds instrumental playing and basic music reading skills.

•4-5 Music begins more advanced music literacy, band opportunities, and basic music history.

•6-8 Music deals with music literacy in both G and F clef ( Treble and Bass clef) drama techniques, computer music, lighting design and music technology.
