Welcome to KNA

News

Our class celebrated our first spelling test and Writer’s Workshop entries.  After practice and review the children attempted these newest challenges with confidence and great enthusiasm.  We are very proud of their wonderful accomplishments.  Soon we will begin working in our reading groups!

It is hard to believe we are at the half way mark through the school year! Our 100th day of school celebration will be in February, the date will be announced soon.  The children have been keeping up with how many days we've come to school so far this year and eagerly await this day of fun which will involve many reading, writing and math activities.  Be on the lookout for instructions for the 100’s day project for our 100’s museum!

Homework in Mrs. Dalbec’s Class

Homework is assigned to our kindergarten friends.  The assignments vary from worksheets to child-centered developmental activities covering science, math and language arts.

The purpose of homework in kindergarten is to get your child used to the routine of doing homework every night   Choose one activity each night with your child.  Check each activity completed and return the homework folder, with all completed homework, on Friday.  It is not necessary to send it in every day with your child.

What is special about us?

~  “Our circle of friends, everybody is a friend in our circle and nobody is left out.”

~ “If you see a friend who is outside of the circle we let them in so they don’t feel sad.”

~ “We get to kiss our brains when our brain does something good!”
