Throughout our Catholic School curriculum,children are taught the Gospel values of love,forgiveness, honesty,compassion and service, as well as the difference between right and wrong. Our study encompasses Scripture, Catholic Prayers, Feasts and Seasons, Catholic Heritage,and Saints. Each chapter in a unit reflects one of the four pillzrs in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The second chapter in every unit centers on the teaching of Liturgy
Sixth Grade students explore the Old Testament beginning with the story of Abraham and Sarah.
Seventh Graders study the New Testament focusing on the life and death of Jesus and His teachings. We also learn how we are called to be Christlike especially through the Eucharist.
Eighth Graders srudy the Church including the Four Marks of the Church, the Acts of the Apostles and the first centuries of the early Church. We will discover how medieval society in Europe revolved around the Church
In all grades, we journey to deepen our relationship with Jesus through conversation (prayer). |
